Oakland As rookie pitcher Josh Outman left Friday nights game against the San Diego Padres in the second inning with an undisclosed injury.
Outman allowed a leadoff homer to Chase Headley in the second inning and was then visited on the mound by manager Bob Geren and head trainer Steve Sayles. After about a short discussion, Outman remained in the game.
